Telepathy in Virtual Reality

At the University of Manchester they are using a game environment to attempt a person to person call without a phone.
I like to think that I have a healthy scepticism. I don’t have any objection to investigation of things like telepathy provided it gets the same scientific rigger that we would expect of any other serious research. But on the surface I can’t see how doing this test in virtual reality makes the slightest bit of difference. It does prove something. I think this experiment proves that virtual space is so cool that some people will do anything to make it part of what they’re doing. See what you think.
