Nanoflix Page Re-link

Posted by Peter Rasmussen on May 16, 2007

People may have been having trouble downloading stuff from the Nanoflix Web site recently. The problem has been fixed so if you try again all machinima and other downloads should work. I’d be very grateful for a heads up on any dead links. Thanks.

Posted by Peter Rasmussen on May 13, 2007

“Stolen Life” has been invited to screen at the Sydney International Film Festival on Tuesday June 12, at
9:30pm, followed by an interview with Jackie Turnure and i.

So for those of you in Oz who haven’t seen it, here’s your chance to see it on the big screen!

It will be fascinating to see how machinima goes down with the audience at this kind of festival.

The Trajectory of the video Game Industry

Posted by Peter Rasmussen on May 12, 2007

Zork

Just Adventure has posted an article I wrote about the potential future of video games.

The game industry article looks at technology on the horizon and how it could impact the way we play video games. It looks at the advantages independent game makers have over larger companies. And considers how and why independent developers have become an essential part of the game industry, and in particular at the creative process at the heart of that development. And at the creative feedback that comes from video game offshoots like modding and machinima.

Friedrich Kirschner’s review of Stolen Life

Posted by Peter Rasmussen on May 11, 2007

The award winning and highly innovative machinima maker Friedrich Kirschner has posted a review of Stolen Life. It’s always fascinating to get a new perspective on a production, to try to get a handle on what people are getting from what you have created.

Overcast Podcast Stolen Life Interview Now Up

Posted by Peter Rasmussen on May 10, 2007

Overcast

This would have to be the most enjoyable interview I’ve had. It’s great to talk to someone who knows exactly what you’re talking about.

Phil Rice (a.k.a. Overman) the maker of “Male Restroom Etiquette” interviewed me for his always entertaining podcast. We talk over a common fondness of robots, machinima and everything. I particularly like his very funny and clever introduction. Share and enjoy.
